JAEGER, Uri (Imre) Peacefully, with dignity, on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the age of ninety-six. Loving husband of the late Hedy Abish and Ada Blizzen. Beloved father of Gita (Benny Beattie). Proud Zaidie of Selena and Amanda (JM Cohalon), and great-Zaidie of eight month-old Remi. Devoted brother of Illish (California), Ezra (Israel), the late Milu (Israel) and the late Abe (California). Brother-in-law of Seren, Zwi, Elku and Sara (Israel). Predeceased by his sisters and parents who perished in the Holocaust. Much gratitude to Ada's children, Paula (Michael Lehrman), Barrie (Melanie Nudelman) and Karen (John Smith) for their strong sense of family, kindness and support. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of 8NW at the Jewish General Hospital, the nursing staff at Castel Royal, as well as Uri's caregivers, Lani, Linda and Marcy, for their care and compassion. A very special thanks to those who shared his love of music: Brian, music therapist at the Jewish General Hospital, and the Cummings Centre Orchestra, where he was a violinist for many years. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, May 29 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Hungarian Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private.
