MOSES, Eisig "Asiu". With deep and abiding sorrow we announce the passing of Eisig, on Monday, January 10, 2005, in Montreal. He is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-seven years, Jeanette (Netty), Moses (nee Kastner) loving sons Philip (Danielle Horwitz), Richard (Merle Epelbaum), and grandchildren Michael, Robert, Daniel, Nova, Zavi and Joelle. Born in 1915, Asiu was predeceased by his mother Anna Moses, and brothers Moishe and Oscar. In the Holocaust, Asiu survived the July 1941 Massacre of his home town Ciudin, Romania, when he lost his sisters Dora, Bertha and Gusta, brother Herman, and in-laws, nephews, nieces and cousins, along with six hundred Jewish Martyrs. Sincerest thanks is expressed by the family to all health professionals and caregivers of the ICU and seventh floor West at the Jewish General Hospital, and at the Jewish Hospital of Hope. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Wednesday, January 12 at 2:30 p.m. Burial at the Hungarian Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savanne.
