MIKHLIN, Fira (nee Schkolar) After a valiant battle with multiple myeloma, surrounded by the people that she loved most, on Monday, September 11, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Galina Mikhlin-Oliver and David Oliver. Adoring and proud Babbi of Amelia and Nathan Oliver. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Moysey and the late Nonna Schkolar; and sister-in-law of Tatiana and Miron Tuchinsky. Dearest aunt of Irina and Sergei, Klara, Svetlana and Dima. She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her family, many friends and former colleagues. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Hematology and Oncology Departments, and the Palliative Care Unit at the Jewish General Hospital, and the Cummings Jewish Centre for Seniors, all for their compassion and kindness. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Wednesday, September 13 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Hungarian Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane.
