KNOBOVITCH, Myer Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, August 16, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband and best friend of Barbara. Devoted father and father-in-law of Elliot and Shirit Knobovitch, Bonnie and Saul Sacks, Marla and Jon Orenstein, Heidi and Richard Zuckerman. Proud grandfather of Michael, Allison Daniel and Jordan. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Shirley and Nate Wagner, the late Hy and the late Gerry Knobovitch, the late Harry Knobovitch, and dear brother-in-law of Phyllis and Richard Finger. Cherished son of the late Icer and the late Itka Knobovitch, and loving son-in-law of Rose Levine and the late Eddy Levine. Special thanks to Dr. Armen Aprikian and all the doctors and nurses at the Palliative Care Unit of the Montreal General Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, August 18 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Ship Family Circle Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his home, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. daily.
