It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Michael Schlar on Saturday, June 8, 2019. Cherished and devoted husband of Thelma for sixty-six years years. Treasured father and father-in-law of Howard, Lynn and Alon, and Randi. Loving and proud grandfather of Cory. Son of the late Fannie and the late Kaciel Schlar; and son-in-law of the late Mary and the late Carl Storfer. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Clara and the late Sol Schlar, and the late Nathan Schlar; and brother-in-law of Phyllis and Jack Korne, the late Lola and the late Joe Levett, the late Harriet and the late Donald Engel. Michael will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Tanya and the staff of 3A at the Jewish Eldercare Centre for their devoted care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, June 11 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedresh Hagodol Section, de la Savane.
