SHAFFER, Edward. After a valiant and courageous struggle with lung cancer, on Monday, January 26, 2009. Loving husband of the late Anne Drotofsky. Beloved father and father-in-law of Harvey and Nonnie Shaffer, Dr. Natalie Shaffer. Adored grandfather of Stephanie and Dr. Andrew Blum, Ian and Dr. Hayley Shaffer. Proud great-grandfather of Erin Brooke and Sabrina Jaymie Shaffer. Brother of the late Sarah, the late Minnie Hier, the late Neshka Hier, the late Faige Einbinder, the late Jack, the late Abie, the late Al, the late Ray, and brother-in-law of the late Abe Dratoff. Eddie will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and dear friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, January 29 at 1:15 p.m. Burial at the Beth Hamedresh Hagodol Section, Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane.
