WEIS, Marius Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the age of ninety. Beloved husband of Sara for sixty-one years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Jessica Weis, Rhona and Dr. Errol Stern. Loving "Papa" of Justin, Jeremy, Sean and Lindsay Heitner, and Brandon and Gregory Stern. Brother of Rita Thurston and the late Shelley Halpern. Many thanks to the JGH medical, nursing, respiratory therapy and supportive staff on 6NW, ICU and 4M. Special appreciation to Rabbi Abraham Hoffman, Drs. Ruby Friedman, Sandra Popescu, Paul Warshawsky, Harvey Chang and Jonathan Wyse, nurse Roberto Abbuzzese, social worker Moish Bronet, caregivers Anna, Nina and Assare. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, January 9 at 1 p.m. Burial at Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedresh Hagadol Section, de la Savane.
