SCHMERER, Joseph. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 1, 2005. Beloved husband of Fella Burstein for fifty-five years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Sylvia and Charles Serchuk, Sharon, Claire and Martin Pressman of Toronto. Cherished Papa of Laurence and Malory Serchuk, Eric Serchuk; Hillary, Maxine and Natalie Pressman. Youngest brother of the late Sophie Zoberman Caron and the late Max. Predeceased by his sisters Yetta and Klara, and by his parents Leib and Sarah, who perished in the Holocaust. Dear brother-in-law of Sylvia Schmerer, Sara and Joshua Rothstein, the late Louis Rothstein. Special thanks to Dalcy, Maureen and Diane for their exceptional care and devotion. Funeral servcie from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Friday, June 3 at 10 a.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedresh Hagadol Section, de la Savane.
