BRISKIN, Esther (nee Shulkin) Peacefully, in her ninety-fourth year, on Friday, May 15, 2009. Wife of the late Solly. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Roslyn and Sheldon Merling, Helen and Dr. Gary Sankoff of Calgary, and Ivan Briskin. Cherished Grandma of Mitchell Merling, Debbie Merling, Bonnie and David Goodman, Andrew Merling and Douglas Wythe; Jacqui and Jack Serlin, Neil and Paula Sankoff. Adored great-Grandma of Sarah, Ellie, Eden, and Anthony Goodman; Rachel, Samara and Maya Friszman; Leah and Emma Serlin; and Benjamin Merling-Wythe. Sister of the late Freda Goldberg, the late Joe, the late Sam, the late Barnie and the late Aaron Shulkin. Sadly mourned by her nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Linda Canto and her entire staff at Residence Beausejours for their love and support. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, May 19 at 12 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedresh Hagodol Section, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter's home through Thursday evening, May 21.
