ENGEL, Hy (Hyman). Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday, May 11, 2007. Devoted and loving husband for sixty-two years of Edith. Treasured Daddy to Freya and Bev and supportive father-in-law of Syd Becker and Paul Schrodt. Loving Hya to grandchildren Tracy and Dread, and Stuart. Predeceased by his beloved brother Issie. Dear brother-in-law of Mark and Freda Gottlieb, Anna Engel, the late Seymour and the late Dorothy Gottlieb, Ellie Gottlieb and Norman Gottlieb. Hy will be especially missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to Drs. Harvey Kreisman and Stanley Heisler for their compassion and caring attention. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. West on Monday, May 14 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery. Beth Hamedresh Hagodol Section, de la Savane. Shiva at his home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
