BORTS, Lily (nee Brustein) Peacefully, on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, in her ninety-seventh year. Beloved wife of the late Hyman. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Maurice and Myra, Harold and Judi, Barbara and Richard Manners, and Phyllis Clark. Cherished Bubbie of Stephanie and Joshua Borts, Annie and Rebecca Manners, and Adam Clark. Sadly missed by her step-granddaughters, Stephanie and Suzanne Goldbaum. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Dave and Dina Brustein, the late Rae and the late Meyer Dobrinsky, the late Mary Brustein, and sister-in-law of Libby and the late Lou Brumer, Eva and Phil Abrams, the late Moe and the late Anne Borts. Lily will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Diane Belgrave and Marilyn Peralta for their care, kindness and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, October 28 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Beth Hamedresh Hagodol Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private, daily from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., ending Tuesday evening, November 1.
