STEINBERG, Esther (nee Shankman) Peacefully, on Friday, December 1, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Charles. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Marvin and Gail (Caplan), Shelley (Rochelle) and Steven Reich. Cherished Bubbie of Yarnell, and Yaelburton; and Robyn. Proud great-grandmother of Tahari, and Tera'paia. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Sara and the late Bill Berish, Norman and Lorraine Shankman of Toronto. Esther will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and family, and by all who knew her. Special thanks to her caregivers for their devotion. The family would like to acknowledge with sincere gratitude the nurses and staff of 4 South at the Maimonides Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, December 3 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedrash Hagadol Section, de la Savane.
