SCHRETER, Joseph. Passed away peacefully in his one-hundredth year on this day, January 5, 2005. Predeceased by his loving wife Goldie and son Harold and daughter Margaret Rose (the mother of Harvey and Heather Fox). Survived by his son Peter (Brouria) and grandchildren Vivianne and Jordan and his other son Sheldon (Shoshi) and grandchildren Dan, Eran, Uri and Ilan and their mother Yael Mackiel. Also survived by grandson Harvey Fox (Daniella) and great-grandchildren Ashley, Matthew, Jonathan and Sherrie. Also granddaughter Dr. Heather Fox Taffert (Sean) and great-grandchildren Milla and Max, to which he was known as "Papa Joe". Precedeased by his parents Leah and Mottel, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins who perished in The Holocaust with the exception of sister Fanny Hager and brother Imre Schreter. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thanks to caregiver of many years Sara Safadi and to Dr. Rubin Becker and Dr. Sam Rabinovitch. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Sunday, January 9 at 12:15 p.m. Burial at the Adath Israel Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5500 MacDonald apt. 1602.
