NEUMAN, Abraham (Abram) A Holocaust survivor Peacefully, at ninety-five years young, following two nights of seders surrounded by his family, in Ottawa, on Sunday, April 1, 2018. Devoted husband of the late Anna (Andzia) Goldman. Loving father and father-in-law of Morris David and Pat, and the late Samuel Neuman. The best grandfather to Cindy and Steven (Poplove), Todd and Chantal Neuman, and Johanna and Elliot (Shapero). Loved and admired by his great-grandchildren, Noah, Justin, Joshua, and Max Poplove; Zoe and Miguel Neuman; and Jacob Shapero. Best friend to Sylvia Fogel and cherished by so many in his community. Born in Lodz, Poland, he was the sole survivor of his entire family who perished in the Holocaust. Through persistence, hard work, and a wonderful outlook, he built a successful life in Montreal. Abram will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal, on Tuesday, April 3 at 3:15 p.m. Burial at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane, Montreal. Shiva at 26 Meadow Glade Gardens, in Ottawa, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily. Due to the festival of Passover, shiva commences Saturday evening, April 7.
