BARKUN-YAFFE, Estelle (nee Coddack) Peacefully, on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at the age of one hundred and two. Wife of the late Hyman Barkun and the late Harry Yaffe. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Teddy and Sheila, Michael and Joanne, the late Stanley. Cherished grandmother of Stacey and David, Arlene and Donny, Stan and Debra, Heidi and T'Cha; Jeffrey and Jennifer. Proud great-grandmother. Sister of Sylvia Hyman, the late Mary Boretsky and the late Alvin Coddack. Her life was filled with not only her children but with a business career that began in 1938 with her husband, Hyman and extended over forty years. Special thanks to the staff of 7N at Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, January 14 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane.
