LESNIAK, Stefan After a long and fruitful life, on Sunday, August 30, 2015, in his ninety-sixth year. Devoted husband of Esther Kohn. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Roman and the late Bernice. Beloved father and father-in-law of Elaine Lesniak, Stanley and Diane Lesniak. Proud grandfather of Megan, Dylan, and Ari. Dear uncle of Irwin and Suzanne Lesniak, Henry and Joanne Winiarz, and the late Grace Lesniak. Great-uncle to Jason and Michael. Predeceased by his parents and sister, Halina, who perished in the Holocaust. A Schindler's Holocaust survivor, Stefan possessed encyclopaedic knowledge of World War II, and was recruited to speak on the subject at synagogues, schools and churches. His life will be honoured on Tuesday, September 1 at 12 noon, at Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. Burial at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5845 Marc Chagall Ave. PH-3, C.S.L., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily through Sunday evening.
