Obituary KARPMAN-ALBRIGHT, Marilyn (nee Sacks) May 21, 1932 – July 7, 2013. We are sad to announce the passing of Marilyn Karpman-Albright who, in her own words, was "totally P.O.'d to leave this world" but thankfully is now at peace! Wife of the late Gaston Albright. Loving partner of Louis (Lou) Gold. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Arley and Catherine Karpman, and Karen Karpman. Adored Grandmother of Stephanie, and Lauren Karpman, Elizabeth, and Nathalie Sidorenko; Jared, and Erin Simms. Cherished sister of Barbara Laurie-Rosenthal, the late Renee Caplan and sister-in-law of Gerry Lisser and the late Suzanne Popliger. She will be greatly missed by Doneve Tobin Karpman and by her devoted nieces and nephews. Marilyn always said that the best present Gaston ever gave her was his family namely Joan and Arnold Morris; Marlene Goldberg and Bobby Chazanoff and the late Allan Goldberg; Bruce and Joanne Costom, and the late Donna Costom. Marilyn will be fondly remembered by Gaston's grandchildren Rhona and Steven Williams, Howard and Jennifer Freedman, Jeffrey and Barbra Freedman; Mindy and Lorne Wilansky, Jay and Suzy Goldberg; Suzanne and Paul Cutler, Mitchell and Cindy Costom. The family would like to thank Dr. David Shahin, Dr. Jason Agulnik, Dr. Michael Dworkind and the staff of 7 West at the Jewish General Hospital and Dr. Golda Tradounsky, Dr. Adeline Khadoury and the nurses & caregivers at the Mount Sinai Hospital for their kindness and exceptional care. Marilyn will be remembered for her generous heart, her terrific musical comedies, as a successful business owner (Encore Travel), in her latter years as a great bridge teacher and as a friend to many. A special thank you to childhood friend, Adeline Slapcoff and to Marilyn Maritzer, who made the journey a little easier. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Tuesday, July 9 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter's home through Friday afternoon, continuing at her sister's home in Thornhill, ON. through Sunday evening. Heaven will be happier now that Marilyn has arrived but she will be sorely missed. At Marilyn's request, instead of donations she would ask that you consider taking someone who is in need of company, to a movie, to lunch or for an outing of your choosing.
