Obituary GOLDSMITH, Elinor (nee Burko) Peacefully, with her daughter by her side, on Sunday, April 16, 2017, in Toronto. Adored wife and best friend of the late Howard Goldsmith. Beloved mother of twins, Cheryl and the late Paul Goldsmith. Cherished sister of the late Mary Rocklin, the late Lou Burko and the late Sam Burko. Dear sister-in-law of Alegria Burko, DeDee Burko, Morty and Becca Goldsmith, the late Isaac Rocklin, the late Jonah and the late Bea Goldsmith, the late Milton Goldsmith, the late Leon and the late Goldie Goldsmith. Special aunt to Brian Rocklin and Romy Schnaiberg, Dr. Benjamin Burko and Donna Litvack, Aura Burko and David Kaplan, Ben Burko and Melanie Litwin, David and Caren Goldsmith, Randy Goldsmith, Leslie and Paula Goldsmith, Harriet and Harvey Leavitt, Carole Goldsmith, Norma Goldsmith and Sandra Goldsmith; and doting great-aunt to Noah and Samantha Rocklin, Zane and Milo Burko, Aiyana and Amanda Kaplan, Jordan and Aliyah Burko, Cheryl and Eric Goldsmith, Allison and Jeffrey Goldsmith. Elinor was a woman of extraordinary charm, wit, intelligence and ability, who excelled at everything she did. She will be remembered for her warmth, hospitality, wisdom, compassion and kindness. She brought love and laughter into the lives of all those whose lives she touched, and she will be sorely missed by her family and many friends alike. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal, on Thursday, April 20, at 2:30 p.m. Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, 5015 rue de la Savane, Montreal. Shiva at her nephew's home, 346 Dufferin Road, Hampstead, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
