EICHENBAUM, Issie. Holocaust survivor, Cummings Center volunteer, and retired Steinberg carpenter. With great courage on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at the age of eighty-nine. Loving husband of the late Bette Zukerman. Beloved father and father-in-law of Frances Marilyn and Cliff Taffet of Vienna, Virginia, Steve and Carol Eichenbaum of Toronto. Loving and cherished Zaidy of Noa Taffet and Michael Eichenbaum. Devoted brother and brother-in-law of Edith and the late Joe Eichenbaum, and the late Rachel Eichenbaum. Adored Uncle of Martin Eichenbaum and wife Yona and great-uncle of Rachel and Joe of Chicago. He will be remembered with great love and warm fondness by all who knew him for his great spirit and love of life. Special thanks to Dr. Dominique Joyal for his dedication and devotion, and the support staff at the Jewish General Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Friday, October 17 at 2:30 p.m. Burial at the Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. The family will receive visitors commencing Saturday evening at 427 Hudson Avenue. Due to the festival of Succot, shiva commences Wednesday evening, October 22 and ends Saturday evening, October 25.
