CATHERINE (BRUCK) VERMES Holocaust survivor, beloved daughter of Nandor and Lonci Bruck, cherished wife of Alex for 53 years, adored mother of Miriam. She leaves to mourn her beloved (her four-legged daughter) Shoshana, a devastated Miriam, and friends worldwide. Miriam would like to thank the extraordinary medical staff of the Jewish General Hospital for their compassionate care, including Dr. Michael Dworkind, Dr. Alicia Schiffrin, Mr. Brahms Silver, Dr. Gonda, Jo Zuckerman and invaluable nurses all. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons on Wednesday, May 16 at 3 p.m. Burial at Baron De Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at Cathy's residence daily from 1 until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Cathy's blessed memory may be made either to the Holocaust Museum, Ilan's Foundation for Crippled Children or the Jewish General would be warmly appreciated.
