It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Sara on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, in her 101st year. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert in 1988. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Arnold (Christine Stevenson), and Elliot. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Rebecca and the late Jack Yanofsky, and Tamar and the late Louis Lang. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Sara was born in Lithuania on March 2, 1921, to Hyman Lang and Annie Dreiband and moved with her family to Montreal at age 4. Sara was dedicated to helping, advising, and encouraging everyone in her family and circle. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their diligence, kindness, and care for the past four years. A private service to take place. Shiva private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sara’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice. |
