| Translation |
All the people will bewail the fire which spread through the Beit Shlomo synagogue in the year 5694. The Torah scrolls were consumed by it without any possibility of saving them. The soul of the letters therein departed to the heavens, whereas their paper bodies were taken to the earth. |
