HERTZ BERKSON, Yaëla
Violinist. On Friday, May 30, 2014. Predeceased by her husband Nathan. Mother and mother-in-law of Laeora Berkson and Milan Javor, Nina Berkson, Dahna Berkson and Shawn O'Donnell. Grandmother of Samuel, and Ava Berkson. Sister and sister-in-law of Talmon and Ena Hertz; and sister-in-law of Dora and Av Morrow, Leah and Bai Sherman, the late Anne and the late Mark Hirsh. Yaëla leaves in mourning her family, many friends, colleagues and musical children. Special thanks to doctors J.P. Faucher, D. Lederer, D. Langleben, and C. Pepe. Thanks to the many doctors, nurses, orderlies and caregivers who cared for her at the Jewish General Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, June 1 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at the Adath Jeshurun Congregation Section, Back River Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Berri and Sauve Streets. Due to the advent of Shavuot, Shiva ends Tuesday afternoon. Contributions in her memory may be made to the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, KlezKanada, or to Musicians of Tomorrow - Israel. |
